Version 2.0.6

24 September 2019

  • Bèta version of Dynamic Daylight / Daylight Factor calculation with Radiance and Accelerad engine.
    • Based on Daylight Factor settings, min/avg/max luminance, min/avg/max daylight factor and uniformity ratio can be calculated per room.
    • Required Daylight Factor per room according to selected local standard will be checked. This is a minimum Daylight Factor of 2% for Norwegian standard, and 1% for Danish, Finnish, and Swedish standards.
    • Daylight Factor heatmap 3D visualization added.
    • The Daylight Factor / Dynamic Daylight feature can be trialed or activated with a separate license.
    • The word reports do now contain results for Daylight Factor et al.
    • The Revit room parameters do now contain properties for saving Daylight Factor values.
    • So you can now compare the two KPI's with eachother; Daylight Ratio versus Daylight Factor.
    • All glass and other face materials (such as material colors and transparencies) are being send to the Radiance calculation. e.g. changing wall colours do have effect on the Daylight Factor, or override the materials by default material values from the settings.
    • Disclaimer: currently released as Bèta version, as Symetri and Xinaps are still testing the Daylight Factor result differences; No guarantees on the accuracy of the results yet. Interested in testing out this new feature? Please contact Symetri.
  • Added the Finnish Daylight (10% ratio rule) standard according to the Finnish Environmental Decree Section 5.
    • Windows and parent rooms with opposite obstructions too close to the window will be marked/commented.
    • Finnish Word report added.
    • Finnish Window tags added. They will be applied to the windows when application language is set to finnish.
    • Application can now be shown in Finnish language. Do you find any language typos? Please let us know, much appreciated!
  • The Naviate Daylight plugin window now runs completely modeless, so that you can continue working in your Revit project even when Naviate Daylight is opened.
    • This enables you to change your Revit project, like adding a window or selecting another room, and recalculate daylight by clicking the "recalculate" button.
    • Do you want to save required and calculated Daylight Ratio values? You can now click "save Revit parameters"
  • Various improvements to the Danish Daylight Ratio calculation, whereas most reduction factors cannot be lower than 0.5.
  • All local standard specific factors will now be saved to window instance parameters.
  • Swedish/Norwegian standard improvement; Any room areas above or in front of the window will be added, not just the area with the room name containing "balcony".
  • The autofill required values are automatically applied when required ratio parameters are not set as shared parameters in the Revit room properties.
  • Various improvements to the Daylight room/wall area/ratio calculations.
  • The 3D visualization showing the daylight color results will now be opened in a separated popup window. This allows you to make the 3D visualization full screen.
  • Improvements to the displacement of diagonal oriented/sloped windows in the 3D visualization.
  • Solved various issues when saving paramters and creating window section and elevation views.

Version 1.0.2

1 April 2019

  • Solved an issue when using the calculation by "Floor Level by rooms" and interacting with the Levels in the user interface panel.
  • Solved an issue when creating a Section View after creating an Elevation View; the function crashed.
  • Solved an issue when an empty value was filled in the "If Room Name Contains" in the "Autofill Required Values" panel. It now deletes the empty record when saving the settings.
  • Solved an issue where the application stopped responding after closing the window and clicking cancel to continue working with the application.
  • Solved and issue where Swedish standard calculations in combination with area plans were unable to finish the calculation.
  • Solved an issue where it was not possible to send the error report from Naviate Daylight.
  • Solved the issue that the language always showed "Same as Revit" when opening settings.
  • The weighted FOH shading factor returned 1,0 where 0,93 was expected, caused by caching versus regenerating values.
  • Solved an issue where the "autofill..." dialog updated the required value, though did not update the daylight checkboxes.
  • Two room parameters are are now being synced between Revit and Naviate.
  • Dutch Alpha/Beta factors are now being synced between Revit and Daylight.
  • Required values are now getting saved in the project.
  • Help button in Naviate Daylight now leads to the right subpage on the Symetri Help.
  • Various language translation improvements

Version 1.0.1

24 January 2019

  • In some cases the transparency factor was being retrieved from the frame/mullion instead of the glazing panel, which resulted in the wrong LT value.
  • In some cases the opaque/spandrel/mullion area of a window was being subtracted from the glass area wrong.
  • If the material from the window object has both spandrel and glazing material names, the window object will only be used as spandrel (opaque) area.
  • When a window contains multiple glazing materials with different LT values, a comment is shown warning the user that various LT values area being found. In this case first or default LT value is applied for this window.

Version 1.0.0 - First Release

11 December 2018

  • As for Danish standard minimum height above floor is not taken into consideration anymore, according to local standard.
