If you get an error with opening Xinaps in Revit, please check the following steps:

  1. Did you try opening the app from the Xinaps sample project? The Xinaps sample Revit project can be opened right from the Xinaps ribbon in Revit. This Revit project file is made specifically with all building elements to show you the benefits of al the apps, so the apps should work instantly with this project. 
  2. If you open an app with your own Revit project, it is possible that there is something not modeled right to support the app. Or it is possible that the app is not getting the data from your Revit project rightfully. If the app is fully working on the sample project, but not on your own project, please send us your project to support@xinaps.com. Wetransfer or A360 is very useful for this.
  3. Do you use Revit 2015 or newer? Revit versions older than 2015 are not supported.
  4. Did you try to repair the Xinaps software with Windows?
  • Make sure Revit is closed.
  • In Windows, go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features
  • Select "Xinaps for Revit"
  • Click "Repair"
  • Restart Revit.
