Xinaps Daylight Ratio Evaluator currently supports the Dutch Building Decree Part 3.11 "Daglicht" according to NEN 2057.


Artikel 3.75. Daglichtoppervlakte

  • Een verblijfsruimte/verblijfsgebied heeft een volgens NEN 2057 bepaalde equivalente daglichtoppervlakte die niet kleiner is dan de in tabel 3.74 gegeven oppervlakte.
  • Woonfunctie = min. 10 %

Use the following daylight settings:

  • Set the minimum height above floor to 600mm.
  • Disable "include interior glazing"
  • Disable "include transparency"
  • Enable "include NEN 2057"
  • Per window, set the Alpha and Bèta values in the window schedule. The Shading factor is automatically set according to the alpha an bèta values.
  • Per window, you can read the "equivalent daglichtoppervlak".


Include alpha/beta NEN 2057

An option to include a shading factor according to the Dutch NEN 2057. If enabled, three columns will appear in the window tab of the main interface, where you can edit the alpha and beta values.

Note: Do remember to select the correct "Daylight Area Calculation per" otherwise the Xinaps Daylight Ratio Evaluator will not work correctly. This is especially important for "including Alpha/Beta according to Dutch NEN 2057".


  • Second method to including alpha/beta values

Alpha and Beta values can also be specified under the "Revit Properties" families windows, where specifying the Alpha and Beta values under the "Revit Properties" window will also synchronize the values with the Xinaps plugin in Revit and vice-versa.
