Category
With the "Category"tab the name of the construction costs item can be specified, where you may also fill in a paragraph number.The arrow up down options (next to 1,2,3) allow you can move an item up or down the construction cost table and where the right arrow allows you to make a new sub category of the selected category and the left arrow brings it back to the main category.
A category item with sub category's will automatically be translated to a category folder (without amount/factor/price/costs specs). Where the costs for this folder is a subtotal of all costs of the child items.

Get Amount Of
With the "Get Amount Of" option you can specify the type of category from the list below that is specified in your Revit Building Model.
All amounts work with:
- Design Options; when you change the design option in Revit, the amounts change accordingly
- Linked Models; when you link another RVT or IFC model to your Revit model, the amounts from the models will be count as well
- Construction Phases; only the new built will be count, if you are working with renovation or existing building elements.
Unit
With the "Unit" option you can specify in what units one want the Xinaps Financial Simulator to calculate their construction costs, where the changing int the unit tab will also change them in the "Amount" and "Price" tab. A more detailed list of all the available units for each "Get Amount of" is as listed bellow.
Filter
You can filter certain amounts by the family name of type of the Revit element category. The filter value is case insensitive, and comma separated values are supported. For example, if you want to get the number of sliding and folding doors, you can set the "Get Amount Of" to "Number of Doors" and you can set the "Filter" to "sliding, folding". If you want to get the area of all basement floors, you can set the "Get Amount Of" to "Area of Floors" and you can set the "Filter" to "basement". The filter works as long as the family and type names are defined in the same way. In the list below you can see which Revit parameters are being used when filter for a particular amount.
Amount
The amount is automatically set, based on what the plug-in finds realtime in Revit. The amount is linked to the "Get Amount Of" and the "Filter".
Price
The Construction Costs per Amount. You can set prices by yourself. For example the floor will costs $ 4 per SF. Please consider whether you want to split costs per floor construction layer, sub element and whether you want to include labour as well.
Costs
The amount is automatically set, based on the "Amount" x "Price".
Working with Construction Templates
Template Manager
With above template manager, you can set up your own construction cost templates your own including prices.
All templates are saved in XinapsConstructionCostsTemplates.xml. You can share this file with your colleague or design team.
